Leeds facing coin-toss enquiry

LEEDS could face an FA probe after a coin appeared to be thrown at celebrating Carlisle United players last night.

The coin seemed to be hurled after Marc Bridge-Wilkinson had put the Blues 2-0 ahead in the 50th minute at Elland Road.

Fellow midfielder Grant Smith handed the coin to referee Tony Bates, and the game’s governing body are now likely to investigate.

Last night’s 36,297 crowd was the second highest in League One this season, and included 1,007 travelling Carlisle fans.
