Clothes store to take over part of Carlisle's Woolworths

Part of Carlisle’s Woolworths store is to be turned into a Peacocks clothing store from the end of September.

A spokesman for the English Street store said yesterday no jobs would be lost as a result of the change, which was part of an attempt to make better use of trading space.

“It’s a positive development,” said the spokesman. “We’re spending money on the store and see what’s happening as an improvement.”
