Not in line to reopen

I WONDER how these strange rumours keep circulating about a possibility of the Penruddock to Keswick railway line being reopened.
This, of course, is just wishful thinking.
There is just no hope of ever starting the line again.
There’s as much chance of the line ever reopening as there is of me marrying Margaret Thatcher. It’s just not on.
Do these dreamers not realise that the bridges have been done away with since the old line was dismantled?
They couldn’t even put the bridges across the Eden at Langwathby let alone undertake the colossal task of rebuilding the old railway line.
It’s unthinkable and impossible and like the old saying ‘till cows grow wings and fly away’ that old railway line will have to stop as it is now.
