Fight with girlfriend and mum

A MAN was arrested after arguing with his girlfriend and later with his mother.

Police were called to a house in Cotehill, Carlisle, on March 9 where they found Wayne Thompson arguing with his girlfriend

Officer took him away in a van, but on the way to his mother’s home at Longtown it became apparent that she would not take him in.

She gave him £20 to pay for bed and breakfast but he told police it was not enough and he would “sort her out”.

Thompson, 24, of Greenmill Road admitted a public order offence before city magistrates yesterday.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to control his temper.

He was also ordered to pay £60 costs.
