In 1968, a number of Cumbrian women took part in a Border TV heat for the title Miss ITV.
The 11 finalists. The woman at the back is called Janice, says J Foster, who adds: "She had the same piano teacher as me and she had been in the paper prior to this competition because she was the youngest ever person to pass her grade 8 piano exam."
Fifth right, says Marcia Roach, is her auntie Mrs Barbara Scales (nee Wedgwood), of Cockermouth.
Does anybody recognise the other contestants?
