Pupils, parents and staff at a Holm Cultram School celebrated 10 years at the heart of Abbeytown’s community.
The school, which was founded more than 50 years ago with separate sites for infants and juniors, was brought under one roof in 1998. This week, Holm Cultram’s 75 pupils were treated to a special lunch, giant birthday cake and a disco to mark the occasion.
Families and staff joined in the fun with an evening celebration also attended by headteacher Linda McDonald, former chairman of governors, Richard Storey, and Holme Cultram’s vicar, the Rev David Temby.
School secretary Muriel Mattison said: “It was wonderful. We had over 150 people come along in the evening and we had a lovely buffet.”
The anniversary events were organised by the Friends of Abbeytown School.
